JJ Designer Collections was started in 1984 by Josie Taylor and Jenny Savage in small premises at Bank Road in Matlock, Derbyshire. A wide range of designer labels was offered to an ever increasing clientele.

After Jenny left the partnership a new branch was opened in Bakewell in 1991 and in 1994 the Matlock business moved to larger premises in the centre of the town.

In 1998 the opportunity to considerably expand the Bakewell shop came up and after much thought it was decided to take this step. Our larger premises are now well established and welcome customers from a very wide area.

Subsequent to the changes made to the Bakewell Shop at Portland Square it was decided to cease trading in Matlock.
